MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER 906 SERVICE INTERVAL DISPLAY RESET


Switch on ignition.

Press and hold the reset button for approx. 30 seconds. (1)
A signal will sound.
Vehicles with long service interval : Press the system selection button repeatedly until the display shows "rESEt229.5". (2)
The oil can symbol appears at the same time.

Vehicles with short service interval : Press the system selection button repeatedly until the display shows "rESEt229.3". (2)
The oil can symbol appears at the same time.
  1 Reset key  2 System selection button(s) 
3 Steering wheel

Press and hold the reset button for approx.3 seconds, then release and press again. (1)
The service interval has now been reset.
Switch off ignition.

If the wrong replacement interval, and the wrong oil type has been selected, proceed as follows:
Press and hold the reset button for approx. 30 seconds. (1)
A signal will sound.
Press the system selection button repeatedly until the display shows "rESEt StoP". (2)
Press and hold the reset button for approx.3 seconds, then release and press again. (1)

Vehicles with long service interval : Press the system selection button repeatedly until the display shows "rESEt229.5". (2)
The oil can symbol appears at the same time.

Vehicles with short service interval : Press the system selection button repeatedly until the display shows "rESEt229.3". (2)
The oil can symbol appears at the same time.

Press and hold the reset button for approx.3 seconds, then release and press again. (1)
The service interval has now been reset.
Switch off ignition.

with multi-function steering wheel



Switch on ignition.

Press the forward/back buttons repeatedly until the service menu is shown in the display. (2)
The text Service extent X in XXX km appears on the display of the instrument cluster.

Press and hold the reset button for approx. 30 seconds. (1)
A signal will sound.

Press the system selection button once. (4)

Press the Page forward/back button(s) repeatedly. (3)
The text Service in XXX km appears on the display of the instrument cluster.

Press reset key. (1)
The menu item "Durchzuführen" . appears in the display of the instrument cluster.

Press the lower page forward/back button(s). (3)
The menu “Oil type” appears in the display for selection of the engine oil.
Press the Menu upwards button until the required oil type is marked. (5)

3 Forwards/backwards button(s)  4 System selection button 
5 Menu upwards key  6 Menu downwards key 
7 Multi-function steering wheel

Oil grade :229.5

Vehicles with short service interval :
Oil grade :228.31
Confirm the marked oil type with the Page forward/back button. (3)

Press and hold the reset button for approx. 3 seconds. (1)
The service interval has now been reset.

Switch off ignition.

If the wrong replacement interval, and the wrong oil type has been selected, proceed as follows:

In the menu “Complete service”, select the menu item “Complete service back” ( Menu upwards key ) (5)

Confirm the selected menu item “Complete service back” with the Page forward/back button. (3)

Press and hold the reset button for approx. 3 seconds. (1)

Press the lower page forward/back button(s). (3)
The menu “Oil type” appears in the display for selection of the engine oil.
Press the Menu upwards button until the required oil type is marked. (5)

Vehicles with long service interval :
Oil grade :229.5

Vehicles with short service interval :
Oil grade :228.31
Confirm the marked oil type with the Page forward/back button. (3)

Press and hold the reset button for approx. 3 seconds. (1)
The service interval has now been reset.
Switch off ignition.
